1st BIG JAG Baltic Meeting 2002:
SAVING THE BIG CATS
This meeting was assisted by Hans-Werner Grote,
the North-section leader of the Jaguar Association Germany and by Stefan Kranz from Stevie's Garage, Eutin. And their invitations
to clubmembers and customers were the reason, that much more than 50 oldtimer
cars took part at this new event. More than 25 JAGUARs and Daimlers were registrated
and 10 of them were the real BIG Cats. So the organizer was able to show what the reason was for his efforts: Saving these wonderful Big Saloon Cats.
A very pleasant participation was made by the energetic grill support of an
environmental fire guard and members of a regional oldtimer club which coloured
the show programme with their time spending restored attractions (pictures
on page 6). With all the helpers efforts and the contribution of
regional businessmen, the organizer was able to send a donation to a flood
victims family. All in all it was a successful event on this partly sunny
September day in Northern Germany.
Thanks to all who took part - donators, helpers, oldtimer owners, family,
friends and visitors, to the Schashagen fire guard and the oldtimer club "Historische
Furche".
Special thanks to Charly Weicker (Leipzig) for contacting the flood victim
family in Grimma (see report).
