Schwerin Classic 2002



On 8th of June 2002 the Schwerin Clasic Rallye was started at the Technical Museum of the Mecklenburg capital. Though at this Daimler-Chrysler event most competitors were Mercedes drivers, the editor was not alone with his Mark 10. A nice JAGUAR Mk 7M was catching the interest of the hired video team, dear friends arrived with their beautiful green JAGUAR XK150 from Hamburg and a further green XK enlarged the small JAGUAR section of this event. Altogether it was a beautiful tour, guiding through wonderful landscapes.

The culmination was a boat trip on the Schwerin lake with a good meal and a privileged seat for the evening on top of the boat. This was an excellent place for the dress rehearsal of the "Turandot" opera performed at the open-air theatre in front of the Schwerin castle. A really beautiful and unique experience that should be refreshed some day.
