BIG JAGS - threatened to die out
The BIG JAGUAR SALOONS are incredibly underrated and threatened to die out. Unknown to most people - and if known mostly unloved - the few surviving samples live in the shadows. Mistreated as a parts car for XK sports cars, as Classic Crash Cars (Classic Bangers) or otherwise violated or forgotten, they have to suffer with slim chance for the better. This is why the editor of this website is calling to interested persons who know where a BIG JAG is dozing in a barn:

GIVE A CHANCE TO A GOOD BIG JAGUAR !

But be sure to distinguish between a sound restoration object and a wreck. And if you are not sure you better ask help by a Jaguar specialist for being informed about the cost.

MK 10 - could be saved	420G - impossible to save

Mk X / 420G:
One of Jaguar’s most underrated cars of all time
Jaguar World magazine edited in issue 12/99 an effusive report "Profile on 420G - Jim Patten parties to Goodwood", ending with Patten’s emphasis to his point on "……what terrific value" these cars are:
"If you do not let its size intimidate, you will enjoy one of Jaguar’s most underrated cars of all time."

VALUE FOR MONEY
Here it is again - and said very clear - what Sir William was advertising with: Value for money!
And this is valid until today for these big saloon models (see actual pricing in Jaguar magazines).

The biggest and most elegant Jaguar Saloons of all times
The Mark X / 420G models have been the biggest Jaguar saloons of all times, placed above the compact limousines (Mk 1 –2), created for the American market. It was told, that Sir William himself hadn't liked them too much, they only should bring him dollars and nothing else. But also a genius sometimes can be wrong:
With the Mark X / 420G model Lyons created one of the most elegant production-saloons, that were ever built.

 

Classic Bangers Regrettably there happened some Classic Car Crash Events with BIG JAGUAR SALOONS taking part.
	On youtube there are several videos to be seen in which miscellaneous Jaguar Mk 10 and / or Jaguar 420 G as well as further classic Jaguars and Daimlers will be crushed
