I sent a fun photo of my greyhound dressed up in my 1960 Mark IX a month ago. I will attach a couple of other photos of it here.

The car is a 1960 right hand drive car, 40,000 original miles. The paint
is untouched original. The rear seats are original, the front seats were
just replaced.

	Just recently I made an old wish of my wife come true: I gave her a Jaguar 420G as a birthday gift. Presumably it will be the only one on Philippines! But this is the problem... Now I would like to improve this good old piece to a bright shine, and this is why I need some spares. Could anybody let me know a reliable suppliers address from where I can get my spare
parts? At first the rubber seals for all windows will become due... I am looking forward to receiving any reasonable reply under my email address kkife@nxdsl.com.ph

I just found your wonderful website for Big Jags. I have an unusual Mark IX. It was sold in 1961 new in Aldershot England where it remained until about 1975 when it had acquired 25,000 miles. It was purchased by an Englishman in Los Angeles California who shipped it to the USA but was hesitant to drive the freeways in a righthand drive car. I then bought it and brought it to North Carolina where it has been ever since. The car has 41,000 miles, is in near mint condition and totally rust-free. It is a 4 speed/overdrive car so has a good bit of power and shares a garage with a show restored XK140 roadster. The Mark IX captures twice the number of 'thumbs-up' when I take it out as does the XK140. I will forward a few more photos shortly. Dr. Jack Griffith Chapel Hill North Carolina

Lieber Herr Meyer bei unserer Weihnachtsfeier in Gut Kaden gab ich Ihnen Bilder von einem Mark IX, den ich in Vechta aufgenommen hatte. Die Veranstaltung war auf dem Stoppelmarkt in Vechta vom 19. bis 21. September 2003. Dabei handelte es sich um ein Oldtimertreffen mit grossem Teilemarkt. Oldtimer aller Typen waren dort einschliesslich Traktoren und einiger LKW. Das Foto habe ich an einem Stand gemacht, an dem Teile verkauft wurden. Der Jaguar diente wohl mehr als Blickfang. leider war der Stand unbesetzt, so daß ich niemanden ansprechen konnte. Ihnen und Ihrer Frau wünsche ich ein frohes Fest und ein gesundes erfolgreiches neues Jahr, mit vielen schönen Jaguar-Ereignissen. Viel Erfolg auch als Registrar der Big Cats. Gerhard Brandt

Hallo Herr Meyer! Ich habe auf die Homepage schaut. Sehr schön, was sie dort eingestellt haben. Vielen Dank.

Zwischenzeitlich habe ich ein wenig eruiert. Dazu habe ich Ende letzten Monats einen Brief an den ersten Eigentümer des MK 10 nach London geschickt. Leider habe ich erfahren, dass Sir Raymond Goldsmith zwischenzeitlich verstorben ist.

Aber Brief wurde von den netten Menschen, die jetzt unter seiner alten Adresse leben, an seine Witwe weitergeschickt. Sie hat mir dann geantwortet und bestätigt, dass das Fahrzeug 25 Jahre von Sir Raymond gefahren wurde. Er sei ein großer Jaguarenthusiast gewesen. Er hat sogar noch einen zweiten - roten Jaguar besessen (auf dem zweiten Bild ist er von hinten zu sehen; es scheint sich um ein frühes XJ-Modell zu handeln). Lady Goldsmith teilte mir ebenso mit, dass der MK 10 die letzten fünf Jahre meist in der Garage gestanden habe und nur zu besonderen Anlässen (Hochzeiten etc.) bewegt worden sei. Sir Raymond habe gesundheitliche Probleme bekommen und habe aus diesen Gründen schließlich den Jaguar verkaufen müssen. Eine interessante Geschichte, nicht wahr? Anbei dazu die Bilder.
