464 HYV – One of Queen Mother's favourite cars
The front page of the book "Jaguar Mk VII . VIII . IX . X . 420G Gold Portfolio"
is showing the colour picture of a Mk VII Jaguar, which Nigel Thorley is also
showing in his book "The Complete Companion" with a b/w-picture (see literature).

Nigel Thorley remarks, that this was the favourite Jaguar of Her Majesty Queen Mother, which was altered afterwards up to the higher spezifications of its successors.
Thorley also giving further details to this car.
This report is another point, why the Thorley book is so indispendible for Mk7-9 lovers.

Graham Robson is appreciating this famous automobile in his book "The Big Jaguars" with two coloured pictures and remarks it to be the "most noticible of all".
This Royal Jaguar 464 HYV today is owned by the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust and belongs to the fund of the Allesley museum.

Halvart Schrader is showing a wonderful coloured picture in his book on page 67
(see literature). According to Schrader, the Royal family also owned some Jaguar Mk9 in their fleet (page 110).
